Back To Business
The days are shortening and, for most of us, September marks the end of summer holidays and a renewed focus on business. So it follows for trends in private jet movements.
While private jet charter is still primarily a time-saving business tool, June to August sees a rise in online flight searches and bookings for European summer hotspots – such as Olbia, the Cote d’Azur or Mykonos. These beach destinations are consistently among the most popular with private jet travellers in Europe during the summer months.
But autumn is approaching, the beaches are emptying and the flow of European private jet movements becomes focussed on business destinations again. So far in September the top 5 arrival points on our flight search have been the following European airports. All are particularly well-located, close to key business capitals – allowing business travellers to reach their destination in the shortest possible time:
1. Paris Le Bourget (LBG)
Closer to the centre of Paris than Charles de Gaulle, and solely dedicated to private aviation. More about Paris Le Bourget airport.
2. London City Airport (LCY)
London’s most central airport means you can speed into the heart of the City or to Canary Wharf within minutes of touch down. More about London City Airport.
3. Frankfurt-Egelsbach Airport (QEF)
Dedicated to private aviation, Frankfurt’s Egelsbach airport offers private jet flyers flexibility, and is only 25 minutes drive from the centre of Frankfurt.
4. Geneva (GVA)
Located just outside the centre of Geneva, Geneva Airport offers excellent access for both the city and the Alps, and has four exclusive private jet terminals.
5. Moscow Vnukovo (VKO)
Close to the centre of Moscow, but with runways long enough to accommodate long range aircraft and airliners.
