London City Airport announces a refurbishment of its Jet Centre
London City Airport has announced a refurbishment of its Jet Centre, which is getting a makeover.
The central aim of the project is to streamline the passenger journey through the jet centre, as well as enhancing the customer areas such as the lounge and a new private meeting room.
They are pledging a 60 second arrival – taking passengers from arrival to being on board their aircraft. The fundamental aim of the makeover is to make travelling through London City’s Jet Centre even faster and more efficient than it is already.
The facilities at London City Airport jet centre are already excellent, so it’s great to see investment in this important private jet hub.
When we launched PrivateFly in 2008, speed was one of our central commitments of the business, alongside transparency and professionalism.
It continues to be a key focus – for both our technology and our team.
Speed in the air in a private jet is the same as scheduled airlines, but of course speed on the ground – as exemplified with the new London City pledge – is where private aviation really makes a difference.
Whichever airport or FBO our customers choose, we focus on making the departure and arrival as streamlined as possible, and much of this is through preparation and pre-flight checks, to avoid any unnecessary hold-ups.
The majority of our customers want to arrive and be airborne as quickly as possible. Time is money and often the choice of using private aviation is a business efficiency decision.
But speed it also important even earlier in the journey, in the booking process.
Customers want a fast and efficient booking experience – and for us that includes website speed, instant pricing, and rapid response times, 24 hours a day. We recently took a client from request to airborne within 45 minutes, when his scheduled airline flight was cancelled.
Let’s hope we can set a new land-to-air speed record at London City Airport very soon!
