Meet The PrivateFly Team at Air Ops Europe

Based on the successful US conference NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers, Europe will have its first convention dedicated to support service professionals in business aviation, next month in Cannes.

The event, Air Ops Europe, is organised by EBAA (European Association of Business Aviation), and will be held on 12th and 13th October 2016 at Cannes Mandelieu Airport.

Representatives from across the sector will be attending, including aircraft operators; maintenance providers; FBOs; and many other support service providers.

Key themes at the convention will be improving the business aviation passenger experience; new industry standards; and environmental challenges. There will also be a series of networking events, where delegates can develop partnerships and sales opportunities.

Among recent initiatives to improve customer service and safety, the new IS-BAH standards will be highlighted. This is a relatively new industry accreditation awarded to FBOs (private jet terminals) that meet best practice in standards and procedures. The Sky Valet FBO at Cannes Mandelieu was the first FBO in Europe to be awarded as IS-BAH, followed by the FBOs and Avignon-Provence and London Stansted’s Inflite FBO. Read more about the IS-BAH.

A similar best practice industry accreditation has since been introduced for private jet brokers, the Argus Certified Broker status. PrivateFly was only the second company in Europe to receive this. See more: PrivateFly is an Argus Certified Broker.

Several members of the PrivateFly team will be attending this first Air Ops Europe event. Our Product Manager Arthur Montibert will be sharing PrivateFly’s key features and technology with aircraft operators – who form our accredited supply chain. Both I and Rob Schwegmann, who heads up our after-sales service, will also be there, meeting with partners and other industry colleagues.

The French Riviera is a key destination for business aviation – one of our busiest in the summer season – so Cannes is an excellent choice of venue. We’re delighted to see this event format coming to Europe and looking forward to a couple of days of stimulating industry discussion and debate.
