PrivateFly opens Santa’s Gulfstream Grotto

Santa may usually be found in a sleigh. But last weekend, a Gulfstream G450 was his flying transport of choice, when we invited some special guests to Harrods Aviation Luton for a unique Christmas event.

Over a hundred clients, corporate partners and friends joined us for a morning of family-friendly festive fun, including an opportunity for younger guests to meet Santa onboard a Gulfstream G450. The long range jet was magically transformed into a unique Santa’s Grotto, complete with lights, decorations, presents – and the man in red himself.

Each family group was able to have a professional photo with Santa on his Gulfstream, with a gift from PrivateFly and a Harrods teddy bear to take home.

Older guests were invited to have a tour of the impressive 14-seater aircraft operated by Pen-Avia – a recent addition to PrivateFly’s charter network. While it may not make it around the world in one night like Santa’s sleigh, with a range of 4,350nm it’s a fantastic option for our clients flying long distances, such as London to New York or Paris to Dubai. Or for those looking for a larger VIP aircraft for shorter flights.

We were also all able to enjoy the great facilities at Harrods Aviation Luton, with festive drinks and delicious canapés provided by our friends at leading inflight culinary concierge, On Air Dining. And guests were invited to make donations to children’s charity St Elizabeth’s.

It was such a fun way to celebrate the festive season with clients and friends, as we approach the end of a very busy year for us here at PrivateFly.
