Travel highs and lows 2010
As a private jet pilot, as well as CEO of PrivateFly.com, travel is a big part of my life. As the year comes to an end, I like to reflect on the highs and lows of my travelling experiences during the previous twelve months.
The low was a day off in Venice in August while my private jet charter passengers were househunting. All the good hotels were fully booked and Venice was crowded and expensive.
The high was a day off in Venice in early December waiting for the passenger to complete the house purchase. Great rates at a 5 star hotel, streets empty and magical, with every cafe welcoming and full of locals wanting to chat.
Timing is everything in travel!
