Ukraine airports remain closed
Crimea’s major airport Simferopol (UKFF) remains closed for international commercial flights, as the political unrest continues in the Ukraine.
The airport and its airspace was closed to international air traffic back in March. Only the Russian airline Aeroflot can operate flights from Moscow to Simferopol.
Sevastopol (UKFB) airport is also closed. And more recently it has been reported that the Ukrainian authorities have now closed the airports in the eastern cities of Lugansk and Donetsk, until later in the year.
These closures are impacting all commercial flight activity, including private aviation and airline flights. So it remains the case that no international private charter flights can currently be arranged in or out of those airports, until further notice.
