A new chapter for PrivateFly
Today we begin an exciting new chapter in PrivateFly’s story. I’m very happy to announce that we’ve agreed to join OneSky, a Directional Aviation company – and become part of one of the world’s largest aviation groups. You can read the press release announcing the acquisition here.
It’s been ten years since we launched PrivateFly. In that time we’ve been at the forefront of innovation in on-demand private jet charter in Europe and the USA.
Since day one, our mission has been to make it faster and easier to book a private jet charter. And that mission continues – and is accelerated – under our new ownership.
PrivateFly will join forces with OneSky’s existing charter broker Skyjet, which has a strong foothold in the US. This combination, with the backing of the wider group (which includes highly-respected brands such as Sentient Jet and Flexjet) will deliver the scale and growth potential to create a truly global, world-beating online booking platform for private jet charter. So there are exciting times ahead.
It is business as usual and I will continue to lead the company, along with co-founder Carol Cork. Our fantastic teams remain too, both in Europe and the US. So our customers, operators and partners will receive the same 24/7, expert service they have come to expect from PrivateFly.
I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity that’s now in front of us. And we want to thank the entire PrivateFly team for all their commitment, support and passion over the past ten years. I’m looking forward to our continued work and collaboration in the future – the best is yet to come!
