Business aviation: A caricature study
In the business aviation industry, some would say that we are all (more than) a little obsessed with aircraft. But behind every Mustang, Citation XLS+, G650, BBJ and the rest, there is a whole team of people. No aircraft would get off the ground without this vital human chain of support in the background. And I’m not just talking about the pilot. Business aviation is ultimately an industry about people.
To celebrate this, PrivateFly asked leading caricaturists to join the BACA lunch this week in London, to capture some well-known faces from the different aircraft operators, brokers and associate members who attend.
BACA is the European industry organisation for air charter. As a member of the BACA Council, I see at close hand what an excellent job our organisation does of setting high standards of professionalism and integrity in our industry. The BACA logo is a stamp of authority for customers to look for, in a highly fragmented marketplace.
The BACA lunch is an annual networking opportunity in London, and always a hugely successful and interesting event – this year was certainly no exception. And the caricaturists certainly added to the spirit of the occasion!
It’s never been a more exciting time for business aviation. Since the recession, we are seeing new and innovative aircraft entering the market, and technology is playing a big part in making the industry more efficient and accessible. These innovations are being driven by individuals who are passionate about aircraft and driving the industry forward. So it’s been great to celebrate by turning some of them into works of art.
