5 private jet hotspots (& prices) for July
With the sun shining brightly all over Europe, many of our clients are flying off on holiday to enjoy it. Fueled by a boost of extra leisure demand, summer is Europe’s peak season for private jet charter, with July the no.1 month overall.
While we offer flights into any one of over 3,000 airports in Europe (and many are smaller airports only accessible to private aircraft), some destinations shine through as particularly popular.
Our quarterly Private Jet Charter Trends report for Q2 (Apr-June) will include a view of our most popular destinations at the start of summer (watch this space as we’re just compiling it now). But looking ahead to July, these are five of the most popular destinations for sunshine getaways this month.
1) Spain – Ibiza, Palma, Malaga & Barcelona
A number of Spanish destinations are proving particularly popular with our clients this summer – we’re definitely seeing an increase in flights to the country overall. And top of the list are island hotspots Ibiza and Mallorca, along with Malaga and Barcelona on the mainland.
How much does it cost by private jet?
London to Palma: From £14,200 in a 4-seater Citation M2 (3-day return)
Barcelona to Ibiza: From €29,800 in a 13-seater Legacy 600 (3-day return)
2) Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos has been increasing rapidly in popularity as a luxury hotspot over the past few years. And we’re seeing strong demand again this summer.
At peak times on summer weekends, Mykonos Airport’s ramp and aircraft parking area can become so busy that it closes to last minute landings. To get around this, last summer we flew several clients into Athens instead, and then transferred them to a helicopter for the final part of the journey.

London Luton to Mykonos (3-night return): From £22,600 for an 8-seater Citation XLS
3) Catania, Sicily (Italy)
We’re seeing a noticeable increase in demand for flights to Catania this summer. Sicily’s chic coastal city is known for its baroque palaces, which sit in the shadow of the island’s famous volcano, Mount Etna. The area also offers stunning beaches and restaurants.

4) Sardinia, Italy
Alongside Sicily, Italy’s other holiday island of Sardinia is proving to be a top destination, once again, with our clients this summer. The majority of our Sardinia flights are into Olbia, but we are also flying some clients into Alghero and Cagliari.

5) The Cote d’Azur
The French Riviera is always at the epicenter of private jet movements in Europe over the summer months, and this year is no exception, with Nice Cote d’Azur seeing more flights than any other airport in Europe. Smaller airports at Cannes Mandelieu, St Tropez and Toulon Hyeres are also popular.
We also arrange lots of private helicopter charters in the area over the summer. With ever-increasing traffic on the roads, more and more clients are move by air between Nice, Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez.
