Citation Ten Rolled Out
Cessna Aircraft Company has rolled out its brand new Citation X at the production facility in Wichita, Kansas, now rebranded the Citation Ten and featuring several significant upgrades.
The new flagship Citation aircraft is fitted with fuel-saving elliptical winglets as standard and a Garmin G5000 integrated avionics package.
The Citation Ten is powered by two Rolls-Royce AE3007C2 turbo fan engines, fitted with newly designed fan blades to enhance performance.
At a unit price of €18 million, the new Citation Ten features an extended fuselage with seating for up to 12 passengers. With an extended range of up to 3,242nm, passengers of the Citation Ten will be able to travel non-stop on routes such as New York to London and Paris to Dubai.
The aircraft’s maximum payload has also increased to 1,140kg, plus an increase in cruise speed to 527kts at 40,000ft with a top speed of Mach 0.935 – making the Citation Ten the fastest private jet in the world.
To date, 675 flight hours have been logged between a pair of test aircraft. FAA certification is scheduled for the Autumn with customer deliveries expected towards the end of the year.
