More green light freedom for UK private jet travellers
From today more options are open to UK travellers – including those flying by private jet charter – without the need to quarantine on return, following updates to the UK government’s traffic light system.
Private jet flights to Mallorca & Ibiza
New quarantine-free destinations include Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, since Spain’s Balearic islands are now regarded as amongst the safest locations in Europe. Always popular with our UK clients, in the past week we’ve seen a clear increase in demand.
For now, the rest of Spain is regarded as amber, meaning quarantine is required on return to the UK, which can he shortened with PCR tests taken on day two and day eight. However the UK government is currently reviewing this requirement for those who have received both doses of their coronavirus vaccine.
Entry into Spain and other amber list countries such as Greece, France and Italy – and travel between EU states or other countries – is also still subject to each country’s local entry requirements, such as vaccinations or negative tests. Malta & Madeira are new green list additions
In addition to the Balearics, other new green list additions include Malta and Madeira – both popular mediterranean islands with our clients – joining Gibraltar and Iceland as quarantine-free European options.
Rising travel confidence is also apparent amongst our sister company Flexjet’s Owners and programme members, with bookings now increasing steeply, month-on-month.
Private aviation is well-positioned to appeal this summer, with commercial airline schedules much thinner and many travellers still anxious to avoid crowded airports and shared cabins.
