Exclusive golf event for PrivateFly Jet Card clients at Valderrama
In a continuation of our exclusive private event series for Jet Card clients, last month we were delighted to host our second annual golf event, this time at the prestigious Real Club Valderrama, in Sotogrande, Spain.
This was an opportunity for some of our senior team to spend time in person with our valued Jet Card clients and their guests, and to extend our thanks and hospitality, over an exceptional round of golf and a celebration dinner and overnight stay at nearby Finca Cortesin.
World-class golf
The Real Club Valderrama is one of the world’s best-known golf clubs - and widely regarded as amongst the best courses in Europe. It has played host to many significant tournaments over the years, most recently LIV Golf Andalucia this summer, and most notably the Ryder Cup in 1997, the first time the event had been held outside of the United States or United Kingdom.
After a warm welcome in the clubhouse, clients and guests were able to warm up on the driving range and putting area, before heading to the club’s championship course in groups, for a memorable and competitive round of golf against the PrivateFly team. The course includes the famous and challenging fourth hole, La Cascada, with a pond situated next to the two-tier green.
A stunning celebration dinner
Refreshments in the clubhouse were followed by car transfers to nearby Finca Cortesin, a stunning and expansive five-star resort that offers luxurious and exclusive suites and private villas. The hotel is set amongst acres of manicured gardens, with four swimming pools, a spa and its own spectacular beach club - where non-golfers enjoyed the afternoon.
All guests were then able to relax and recharge in the hotel ahead of the evening’s celebration dinner. This began with an alfresco champagne reception, speeches and prizegiving for the top golfers in the group, with prizes including an overnight stay in a choice of PrivateFly partner hotels, along with Valderrama golfing attire.
This was followed by an exquisite dinner prepared by Finca Cortesin’s renowned chefs, with a Mediterranean menu including locally sourced seafood, complemented by carefully paired wines from the Finca’s cellar.
After dinner, our clients and guests were able to reflect on a fun and memorable day over a digestif, before retiring to one of the hotel’s superbly comfortable and meticulously designed suites.
Seamless flight experiences
Our Jet Card clients were able to use their flight hours to fly in and out of the event via nearby Gibraltar Airport (LXGB), which is just 30 minutes away by car. Or Malaga Airport (LEMG) a little further up the coast.
This experience was part of a series of invitation-only events offered to clients in our Jet Card programme, designed to reflect and complement our unwavering approach to service. Previous invitations have included a golf weekend at Adare Manor in Ireland and an exclusive guided tour and tasting at Maison Dom Pérignon in Reims, France. We are looking forward to extending more invitations over the coming months.
