Private Jets head for Monaco Yacht Show 2014
Cannes and Nice are always popular private jet airports, especially during Europe’s summer months. But they continue to attract private jet travellers during September, with many heading for the Monaco Yacht Show which takes place later this month (24-27 September, 2014).
There are strong parallels between the private jet and superyacht industries, and the PrivateFly flight team are experts in coordinating a seamless air-to-sea experience. (We also recently enjoyed playing matchmaker, read how Private jets met their superyacht match).

We’re looking forward to seeing some of the World’s most spectacular Superyachts this year at Port Hercules in Monaco. Like with private jets, visitors to the Monaco Yacht show may want to buy, take a fractional share or charter a yacht – similar access options apply to both private jets and superyachts. For 2014, the Monaco Yacht Show is set to be bigger than ever with over 115 spectacular yachts on display. In particular, there will be more yachts over 100m, reflecting the demand for larger vessels as the yachting sector gains confidence in recovery.
One of our yachting partners is Y.CO, a leading specialist in the Superyacht industry. We asked Gary Wright, co-founder and Chairman what to look out for at this year’s event:
“The Monaco Yacht Show is the most important event in the superyacht calendar and a great opportunity for the top brokers and shipyards to showcase their new launches to the people that matter, in one place – and in just 4 days! It’s also a fantastic place to see the best yachts on the brokerage market. At Y.CO we love innovation, and the show is an excellent opportunity to discover what’s new in every area of the industry.
This year’s most exciting yachts include the exceptional 59m Benetti LADY LARA, which features a Fendi interior, and the 38m Feadship KATRION, a yacht in immaculate condition that has been kept privately by the same owning family since launch.”
